Week of Janurary 19th

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful day off yesterday and are ready for a short week packed with all sorts of learning.
Famous American reports start TODAY, with children numbered 1 through 4. Because we have Music and Library on Tuesdays, I will hope to begin at 1:30.
Every other day my goal is to start around 1:00.
Parents, you are welcome to come see your child's presentation
but it is not an expectation.
Here is one final reminder of the schedule.
Students numbered 1 through 4 - Tuesday, January 19th
Students numbered 5 through 9 - Wednesday, January 20th
Students numbered 10 through 13 - Thursday, January 21st
Students numbered 14 through 17 - Friday, January 22nd

Please return any library books that were used for this project by Friday

Here is a look back at last week
If you didn't hear, Delta Dental came to talk to us about how to take proper care of our teeth. What a perfect fit into our study of the human body!

Overall, your children learned so much about our organs and their main functions!
Be proud of all of their efforts!

And a little peace and quiet as they watched science videos and played a germ game.

RELIGION
Some people say actions speak louder than words. Jesus' actions speak loudly about who He is. Jesus' first miracle, turning water to wine, revels that He is the Son of God. This week we will explore this Bible Story and learn how God shows His love for us by showing us that Jesus is true God. We will also read about Jesus and His knowledge of grace as He blesses the children. This teaches us that God shows His love for us by offering salvation to all people.
Memory Work
Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:14

SPELLING and GRAMMAR
This week in spelling, students will work on spelling words with r-controlled vowels (ar and or spelling patterns). In grammar, we will be working on linking verbs. A linking verb is a verb that does not show an action. We will also review the use of capital letters and proper nouns.
