Week of February 22nd

What a beautiful weekend!
I hope you were all able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
What a blessing!

This week your second graders will be presenting their country reports!
All of the children seem very anxious to share all of their knowledge!
As a reminder, from 12:30 to 1:30 on Friday, February 26th the children will host an "International Boardwalk" in the second grade hallway.
During this time your child will be expected to talk openly about their country, share fun facts, answer questions, possibly wear clothes like someone from that country, distribute food, or play music. It should be a very fun time! I hope you can join us!
Here's a final reminder of the presentation order during the week...

Here's a look back at a few things from last week.
Reading "published" nonfiction stories to each other...

We made rain gauges,
but before we made them, we had a little bubble fun!

RELIGION
Jesus was no ordinary man! He was God and man, friend and Savior. This week we will continue to look at a few more of His miracles. We will remember to trust in Him even in the middle of difficult times. His disciples did when when Jesus walked on water. We will also be reminded to confidently bring our requests to God, knowing that He can help us overcome our despair and doubt like when He heals the sick and the blind. God is so GREAT!
Memory Work
Because this week is a short verse; all students will be expected to say the verse.
Jesus said, "All things are possible for one who believes." Mark 9:23
